True Handed Door
Door hand is always determined from the outside, on key side, facing the door.
When you are standing on the outside and pushing the door into the room or into the building, this is a true handed door (LH or RH).
Reverse Handed Door
If when you are outside the building you pull the door towards you, the handing is reverse handed (RHR or LHR). Doors with exit devices such as panics and vertical rod are always reverse handed.
